Minion Banana Popsicles
Ingredients
- 3 bananas
- ¼ cup white chocolate chips
- blue oil-based food colouring
- 1 tbsp white chocolate chips
- black or grey food colouring
- 1 tbsp white chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp dark chocolate chips
- 12 bamboo skewers
Instructions
- Slice each banana into two 2-inch long pieces and skewer each banana with 2 bamboo skewers. Using 2 skewers instead of 1 will create a more substantial popsicle stick.
- Melt the ¼ cup white chocolate chips and add some blue oil-based food colouring. Dip the bananas into the chocolate so that the bottom half of the banana is fully coated in chocolate. Place the bananas on a plate lined with parchment paper and place them into the freezer to set for about 20 minutes.
- Melt 1 tbsp of white chocolate chips and add 1 or 2 drops of black food colouring to create a grey colour. Pour the chocolate into a Ziploc bag and cut a small hole into one of the corners to create a piping bag. Pipe on the goggles of the minions by drawing one or two circles, then return the bananas to the freezer to set for 10 minutes.
- Melt the remaining 1 tbsp of white chocolate chips and place into a Ziploc piping bag as well. Fill the goggles with the white chocolate to create the minions’ eyes, and return the bananas to the freezer to set for 10 minutes.
- Melt the dark chocolate and place it into a Ziploc piping bag. Pipe on the goggle straps, eyes and mouths with the dark chocolate and return the bananas to the freezer for a final time for the chocolate to set, and enjoy!
