- 1.5 L of your favourite vodka I just Chopin vodka
Bottle 1:
- ½ cup fresh blackberries
Bottle 2:
- 1 ½ fresh figs sliced into quarters
- 1 tbsp fresh cardamom pods
- 1 vanilla bean split down the center
Bottle 3:
- pickles and pickle juice
Homemade Sugar Cubes
- Ingredients makes approx. 1 cup of sugar cubes
- 1 cup granulated sugar or brown sugar
- 2 tsp water
- food colouring if desired
Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix
- Ingredients makes enough mix for 3 ½ cups of hot chocolate
- ½ cup powdered coffee creamer
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ cup skim milk powder
- ½ cup confectioner’s sugar
- 1 candy cane
Instructions
Infused Vodka
- Place the ingredients to flavour the vodka into glass bottles. If making pickle vodka, add 1 part pickle juice to 3 parts vodka. Pour the vodka on top and seal the bottles.
- Allow the ingredients to steep for 4 days. You can strain the vodka to remove the ingredients, or keep them in the bottles for visual interest.
Homemade Sugar Cubes
- If colouring your sugar cubes, combine the water and food colouring. Add the water to the sugar and mix well, until the sugar resembles wet sand.
- Press into a silicone mold and press down firmly on the surface with a knife, until the sugar is densely packed into the mold. Allow to dry at room temperature overnight.
- Gently unmold the sugar cubes and package in a jar or cellophane bag.
Creamy Hot Chocolate Mix
- Choose a cute mug for gifting and place a cellophane bag into the mug. Pour each powdered ingredient into the bag, smoothing each layer evenly to create pretty, distinct layers. Secure with a string, sliding the candy cane onto the string while tying.
- Include a note along with the mug and hot chocolate mix telling the gift receiver to mix all the dry ingredients together and to mix 1 cup hot water with ½ cup mix for a cup of hot cocoa. Alternatively, mix the entire hot chocolate mix with 3 ½ cups hot water.
