Instructions
Make the hamburger bun
- Combine the marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals, until the marshmallows have fully melted, about 2 minutes. Stir well, then add the vanilla extract and mix until fully combined.
- Add the rice krispies and mix until fully incorporated. Line a bowl with plastic wrap and grease with cooking spray. The bowl will be the size of the top bun, so choose according to your desired size. Pack the bowl generously with rice krispies, pressing down to create a flat surface.
- Use the remaining rice krispies to make the bottom bun. Lay a sheet of plastic wrap onto your work surface and spray with cooking spray. Place the rice krispies on top, spray the surface of the rice krispies, then place another sheet of plastic wrap on top.
- Shape the base of the bun into a circle, the same size as the circumference of the top bun.
- Wrap the plastic wrap around the base, then place both the top and bottom bun into the fridge (or freezer) while you make the other components.
Make the hamburger patty
- Combine the chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals, until the marshmallows and chocolate have fully melted, about 2 minutes. Mix well, then add the vanilla and mix until everything is fully combined.
- Add the rice krispies and mix until fully incorporated.
- Place the rice krispies onto a large sheet of greased plastic wrap. Spray the surface of the rice krispies with cooking spray, then place another sheet of plastic wrap on top. Shape the rice krispies into a thick patty-like shape.
- Unwrap the bottom burger bun and place the patty on top. Press to stick them together, then wrap in plastic wrap and return to the fridge or freezer to chill.
Make the cheese
- Combine the white chocolate chips, marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals, until the marshmallows and chocolate have fully melted, about 2 minutes. Mix well, then add the vanilla and yellow food coloring and mix until everything is fully combined.
- Add the rice krispies and mix until fully incorporated.
- Place the rice krispies onto a large sheet of greased plastic wrap. Spray the surface of the rice krispies with cooking spray, then place another sheet of plastic wrap on top.
- Use a rolling pin to flatten the rice krispies until about ½ inch thick. Slice the cheese into a large square.
- Place the square on top of the burger patty, molding it to stick to the patty. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill while you make the next component.
Make the lettuce and tomato
- Combine the marshmallows and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second intervals, until the marshmallows have fully melted, about 2 minutes. Mix well, then add the vanilla and mix until everything is fully combined. Divide the mixture into 2 bowls. Dye one bowl red and one green.
- Divide the rice krispies between the 2 bowls and mix until fully incorporated.
- Spray your hands with cooking spray and pile the green rice krispies onto the cheese, to look like lettuce. Set the burger aside.
- Place the red rice krispies between 2 sheets of greased plastic wrap. Flatten into the shape of a slice of tomato. Place on top of the lettuce and press to stick to the lettuce.
To finish
- Remove the burger bun from the bowl, unwrap the plastic wrap and place on top of the tomato.
- Wrap the entire burger tightly in plastic wrap and chill in the fridge overnight. Then slice and enjoy!
