Memorial Day Jellies

Course snacks
Cuisine american

Ingredients

  • 1 package 3 ounces red-coloured jello
  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1 package 3 ounces blue-coloured jello
  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 2 tbsp powdered gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 ½ cups boiling water
  • 1 can 14 ounces condensed milk

Instructions

  • Pour both the red-coloured jello and blue-coloured jello into bowls and pour 1 cup of boiling water into each bowl. Stir until the jello has fully dissolved, then place the bowls in the fridge until fully set.
  • Once the jello has set, cut the red and blue jello into large cubes. Set aside.
  • Pour ½ cup cold water into a large bowl and sprinkle the powdered gelatin on top. Let sit for 5 minutes. Add 1 ½ cups boiling water and mix well. Add the condensed milk and mix until fully combined. Allow to cool slightly.
  • Line a 7”x4” dish with plastic wrap. Place half of the jello cubes inside. Pour enough of the condensed mik mixture on top until the jello cubes are just covered. Place in the fridge until the condensed milk has slightly set. Place the remaining jello cubes on top and cover with more condensed milk mixture until the jello cubes are just slightly sticking above the surface. You may have some condensed milk mixture left over. Return to the fridge until fully set.
  • Slice into cubes and enjoy!
