Ingredients

Instructions

  • Place an oval of painter’s tape onto the “belly” of each hard boiled egg. Then place two small circles of tape onto the eggs as eyes. You can use a hole punch to easily cut these out of the painter’s tape!
  • Combine the water and vinegar in a glass. Add 1-2 drops of black food coloring and mix well.
  • Place the eggs into the glass one egg at a time. Allow the eggs to sit in the dye for a couple minutes, until they are a medium grey color.
  • Place them on a tray (or the egg carton they came in) to dry, then gently peel off the painter’s tape.
  • Use the black edible ink pen to draw Totoro’s pupils, nose, whiskers and fluffy tummy directly onto the eggshells. Enjoy!
