EQUIPMENT

  • blueberry & raspberry molds
  • coffee bean mold

Instructions

Coffee Donut

  • Cut the white glycerin soap into chunks and microwave for 15-second intervals until fully melted. Add a couple drops of essential oils and mix well.
  • Pour some soap into a doughnut-shaped soap mold. Pour just enough to create a ring and look like the frosting on top of a doughnut. Set the mold aside and allow the soap to fully harden, about 30 minutes.
  • Dye the remaining soap a pale brown color using the brown soap dye powder. Add the coffee grounds and mix well. Pour into the doughnut mold and allow the soap to fully harden, 1-2 hours.
  • In the meantime, make the coffee beans. Cut some more white glycerin soap into chunks and melt in the microwave. Dye it dark brown with the soap dye powder. Pour the soap into a coffee bean soap mold. Allow the coffee beans to fully set, about 1 hour.
  • Once the doughnuts have fully hardened, unmold them and place on your work surface. Unmold your coffee beans and trim the bases, so that they are able to sit flat.
  • Chop the clear glycerin soap into pieces and melt in the microwave. Pick up the coffee beans with tweezers and dunk their bases into the clear soap. Then stick the beans onto the top of the doughnuts. Make sure to work quickly, because the glycerin soap sets quickly.
  • Allow the glycerin to fully set and enjoy your soap!

Rainbow Donut

  • Cut the white glycerin soap into chunks and microwave for 15-second intervals until fully melted. Add a couple drops of essential oils and mix well.
  • Divide the soap into 5 bowls and dye it red, orange, yellow, green and blue with the soap dye powder. Allow to fully harden, about 30 minutes.
  • Chop the rainbow soap into small pieces. Set aside.
  • Melt some more white glycerin soap. Pour a little bit of soap into a doughnut-shaped soap mold. Pour just enough to create a ring and look like the frosting on top of a doughnut. Set the mold aside and allow the soap to fully harden, about 30 minutes.
  • Dye the remaining soap a pale brown color using the brown soap dye powder.
  • Fill the doughnut mold with the pieces of rainbow soap. Reserve a few pieces of each color. Pour the pale brown soap on top, making sure that the rainbow pieces are covered on all sides. Allow the soap to fully set, about 1-2 hours.
  • Unmold the soap and place them on your work surface. Melt the remaining rainbow pieces in separate bowls per color. Drizzle the soap on top of the doughnuts. Allow the soap to fully set and enjoy your soap!
