Roll the dough out on a floured surface until it is 1/8 - 1/4 inch thick. Using a circular-shaped cookie cutter, cut out as many circles as you like from the dough. Gently transfer the circles to a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Using alphabet cookie cutters, cut one letter out of each of the circles, so when lined up, the cookies will spell out a message. You can bake the letters as well or add them back to the ball of dough to make more cookies.

Place the hard candies in a freezer bag and crush until they become fine crystals. Sprinkle the crushed candies into the letter cutouts of the cookies. Bake the cookies in the oven at 350F for about 10 minutes, until the cookies are lightly golden and the candies have melted and filled the cutouts. Allow the cookies to fully cool on the cookie sheets.
