Dango Fruit Popsicles

These popsicles are made of honeydew melon, watermelon and nashi pear, and are meant to look like the popular skewered rice ball snack in Japan – sanshoku dango.

Ingredients

  • honeydew melon
  • watermelon
  • nashi pear
  • lemon
  • bamboo skewers

Instructions

  • Using a melon baller, make balls out of the honeydew melon and the watermelon.
  • Peel the nashi pear, and make balls with the melon baller. Squeeze some lemon juice over them to prevent them from turning brown.
  • Skewer 1 ball each of the honeydew, nashi pear and watermelon onto a bamboo skewer in that order.
  • Place these on a tray lined with parchment paper, and place in the freezer until frozen.
