Peanut Butter Piggies | ピーナッツバター入りブタさん

These look and taste so fancy, but are so easy to make! The salty peanut butter tastes amazing when combined with the milk chocolate in the mousse, and the crunchiness of the peanuts in the dark chocolate shell makes this a dish that will impress all of your dinner party guests, as well as anybody lucky to receive one as a gift!

Ingredients (makes about 6 pigs)
❤ 170g milk chocolate, finely chopped
❤ 1/2 cup cream
❤ 3/4 tsp vanilla extract
❤ 3 1/2 tbsp peanut butter
❤ a pinch of salt
❤ 2 egg yolks

❤1/3 cup roughly chopped salted peanuts
❤ 450g melted dark chocolate

Directions

1. Melt the dark chocolate and coat the insides of a pig-shaped mold with the dark chocolate, until it is about 1-2 mm thick on all sides. If you’re having trouble with the chocolate sticking to the sides, apply 2 thin coats, popping the mold into the freezer in between coats. Then place this in the freezer while you make the mousse.
2. To make the mousse, pour the cream into a small pot and bring to a simmer. Then pour the cream over the finely chopped chocolate and allow it to sit for 1 minute, then stir. Add the vanilla extract, pinch of salt and peanut butter and mix until smooth. Then add the egg yolks and mix until smooth once more.
3. Pour the mousse into the chocolate molds, leaving about ½ cm from the top. Return to the freezer for 30 minutes.
4. Mix the remaining melted dark chocolate with the chopped salted peanuts and spoon on top of the peanut mousse. Return to the freezer to set for a final time, then remove from the mold and enjoy!

味も見た目もデザートの店で買えるっぽいのデザートで、とても作りやすいですよ!塩味のピーナッツバターをミルクチョコレート入りムースと混ぜるととても おいしくて、ダークチョコレートのシェルに入ったカリカリしたピーナッツでパーティーやプレゼントに使えるぴったりのデザートです!

材料(約6つ分)
❤ミルクチョコ(細かく刻んだ) 170g
❤生クリーム(乳脂肪分5%) カップ1/2
❤バニラエッセンス 小さじ3/4
❤ピーナッツバター 大さじ3.5
❤塩 ひとつまみ
❤卵黄 2個分

❤塩ピーナッツ (刻んだ) カップ1/3
❤溶けたダークチョコ 450g

作り方

①溶けたダークチョコをブタ形の型に1~2mm塗る。厚く塗りにくい場合、薄く塗ってから、冷凍庫に入れ、固まらせ、もう一回薄く塗り、冷凍庫で固まらせる。ムースを作っている間に冷凍庫に入れて置く。
②ムースを作るために、生クリームを鍋に入れ、煮る。生クリームをチョコの上に流し入れ、1分待ち、よく混ぜ、溶かす。バニラエッセンス、塩とピーナッツバターを加え、よく混ぜる。卵黄を加え、もう一度混ぜる。
③ムースを型に8分目ぐらいまで流し入れる。冷凍庫に戻し、30分固まらせる。
④残りの溶けたダークチョコを塩ピーナッツと混ぜ、ピーナッツバターのムーズの上にかける。冷凍庫に戻し、もう一度固まらせる。型から取ると完成です!

    Please help! I used a ice cube tray to make this and when I took it out it fell apart like the peanut chocolate part did not stick to the chocolate mousse and it just fell apart!

      Aww no! It might be that the peanut chocolate part wasn’t stuck to the chocolate shell on the top. Imagine the top shell and the peanut chocolate part as a little container for the mousse. You could melt some more chocolate and try to reattach the top shell and the peanut part and pop it back in the freezer for a few minutes for the chocolate to set!
