Tomato Doughnuts | トマトのドーナツ

These doughnuts are flavoured with tomato soup and are so moist and have the perfect balance of sweetness and tomato flavour! These are baked doughnuts and are so quick to make, so they would be perfect for any summer barbeque or picnic! The spices in the batter give the doughnuts a warm, almost autumn-like flavour (which I remembered while I was eating the one that I tore in half in the video), but these are still so cute and still passable as a summer dessert! haha Yummy doughnuts are always in season!

Ingredients (makes 12 doughnuts)
❤ 1 tsp baking soda
❤ 1 (284 ml) can of tomato soup
❤ 1 cup sugar
❤ ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
❤ 2 cups all-purpose flour
❤ 2 tsp baking powder
❤ 1 tsp cinnamon
❤ 1 tsp nutmeg
❤ ½ tsp cloves

❤ 1 ½ cups confectioner’s sugar
❤ 4 tbsp milk

❤ any kind of white frosting/buttercream (I used royal icing), dyed green

1. Add the baking soda to the can of tomato soup, and mix until fully combined.
2. Place the sugar and butter in a bowl and beat with an electric mixer until pale and fluffy. Then add the soup mixture and combine.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, then add to the butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
4. Spoon the mixture into a greased doughnut pan, and bake at 350F for 15 minutes. Once they are fully cooked, transfer the doughnuts to a wire rack and cool completely.
5. In the meantime, mix together the confectioner’s sugar and milk in a small bowl to create the glaze for the doughnuts. Once the doughnuts have fully cooled, slide a sheet of parchment paper under the wire rack (to catch the extra glaze), and spoon the glaze over the surface of the doughnuts. Allow the glaze to harden to the touch.
6. Then pipe leaves and a stem onto each doughnut with the green coloured frosting to look like a tomato!

トマトスープでトマトの味がして、トマトによ~く合う甘味のドーナツです!オーブンで焼くドーナツで、とても作りやすくて、夏のピクニックやバーベキュー などにぴったりです!動画にちぎったほうを食べた時に気づいたことですが、やっぱりシナモンなどのスパイスで秋っぽいの味がしますが、夏にも合うと思いま す!おいしいドーナツは何季節でもおいしいですよね(笑)

❤重曹 小さじ1
❤トマトスープ 1缶分(284ml)
❤砂糖 カップ1
❤無塩バター(室温に戻した) カップ1/2
❤小麦粉 2カップ
❤ベーキングパウダー 小さじ2
❤シナモン 小さじ1
❤ナツメグ 小さじ1
❤クローブパウダー 小さじ1/2

❤粉糖 カップ1.5
❤牛乳 大さじ4
