Rock Cookies (Raisin and Walnut Cookies)| ロッククッキー(レーズンとくるみ入りクッキー)

I make these cookies with my family every year, and everyone absolutely loves them! They aren’t too sweet, they just have a lovely spicy (like cinnamon and cloves kinda spice) aroma when you bite into them, and the soft raisins are complemented by the crunch of the walnuts. You can whip these up in no time at all, so if you have guests coming over later in the day, these are the perfect recipe for you! Even filming these, which usually at least doubles the time it takes to make the recipe without a camera, was surprisingly quick! I brought a container over for my dad to nibble on during the weekend, and it was empty the next day. If you have a husband/dad/boyfriend/brother/male friend who isn’t a huge fan of sweet things but you want to bake for him during the holidays, you should totally try these out!

Ingredients (makes about 20-30 cookies)
❤ ¾ cup brown sugar
❤ ½ cup unsalted butter, room temperature
❤ 1 large egg
❤ 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
❤ ¼ tsp ground cloves
❤ ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
❤ ½ cup chopped walnuts
❤ 1 1/3 cups raisins
❤ ¾ tsp baking soda
❤ ¼ cup warm water

1. Place the butter and sugar in a large bowl, and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then add the eggs and mix.
2. Mix together the flour, cloves and cinnamon together in a smaller bowl. Place the walnuts and raisins in a separate bowl, and add ½ cup of the flour mixture, and mix together.
3. Mix together the baking soda and warm water in a small bowl, and add that to the butter and sugar mixture alternating with the flour mixture. Then add the raisins and walnuts.
4. Drop ½ tbsp sized balls of cookie dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake at 300F for 20 minutes.

このクッキーを家族と毎年作ります!それほど甘くないですが、シナモンとクローブパウダーのスパイスの味がして、柔らかいレーズンとガリガリなくる みも 入っています!時間があまりかからなくて、友だちなどが立ち寄る日に作っておけばとても便利だと思います!撮影するのは実際の焼く時間の倍ぐらいですが、 撮影していた時に、意外にはやく作れました!週末にお父さんにあげて、次の日にすべてを食べてしまいました!甘いものが好きじゃない方(父、旦那さん、彼 氏、お兄さんなど)にぴったりのクッキーです!

❤ 黒砂糖 カップ3/4
❤ 無塩バター(室温に戻した) 1/2カップ
❤ 卵 大1個
❤ 小麦粉 カップ1.5
❤ クローブパウダー 小さじ1/4
❤ シナモン 小さじ1/4
❤ くるみ 1/2カップ
❤ レーズン 1 1/3カップ
❤ 重曹 小さじ3/4
❤ 水(温かい) 1/4カップ
