Hi Everyone!

Hey! My name is Cayla and welcome to pankobunny, the world of “edible cuteness”!

Pankobunny started in 2014 when I was doing my master’s degree in Japanese translation and interpretation. I wanted to share Japanese recipes and techniques with a western audience on YouTube. I soon discovered that cute, creative dishes were my favorite and upon graduating, I decided to pursue pankobunny full-time instead of my original plan of becoming an English-Japanese interpreter.

It was a nervous start for a couple of years, not knowing where this path would lead or if it would be profitable. I remember crying while making my Dancing Reindeer Brioche, wishing that I’d gone to med school so that I’d have a stable future. But only a couple of weeks(!) later, my first video went viral, and I got my first brand deal. The hard work was finally starting to pay off.

Fast forward to now with 5 cookbooks, product lines, and features in publications such as Forbes, I’m so happy to have taken that risk and can’t wait to keep providing you with fun, creative recipes that you can make at home. I am so grateful for every single one of you because without you – even if you’re brand new here – I wouldn’t be where I am today.

The recipes you’ll find here are mostly sweet, with a touch of savory. But the one thing they all have in common is that touch of edible cuteness! Plus they taste really great too, I promise! You can start simple with my classic No-Bake Matcha Green Tea Cheesecake, test out your cake decorating skills with my Harry Potter Hedwig Cake, and then get really adventurous with my Life-Size Watermelon Rice Krispie Treat.

So, are you ready to turn your treats into edible cuteness?
